English Proficiency Requirement

Admission Requirements for Non-Native English Speaking Students

Acknowledging that non-native English speaking students may experience a langu年龄 barrier, Allen College uses an American Classroom experience course to ensure that a langu年龄 barrier does not prevent the student's success.  English proficiency can be proven as follows:

  • Receive your high school diploma, or receive an associate degree in nursing or medical lab technician, or a bachelor’s degree or higher at an America high school, college or university; OR

  • Enroll in and successfully complete English3 courses to prove English proficiency.   Students must successfully complete two courses; American Student Classroom and Medical Terminology BEFORE you are considered for admission.   These course requirements are at your own pace, but can take up to six weeks to complete.  Please allow yourself enough time to successfully complete the courses so you can meet the priority deadline of your desired program.

**Please note that students cannot be reviewed for admission until English Proficiency is proven.

Transfer Credit From Colleges or Universities Outside of the United States

  • If you have College transcripts from outside the United States; you are required to send them for evaluation to Educational Perspectives. You MUST request a Catalog Match  If you do not use Catalog Match, your evaluation will NOT meet the requirement.

Additional Requirements for F-1 Students

Students who will study at Allen College on an F-1 visa should review all  International Student Admissions requirements.
